...because you have to crawl up it!19th, 20th and 21st June I played Support Driver to Richard, Dave, Phil, Martin, Mahendra, Andy, Mike and Paul while they did the Coast to Coast from Whitehaven to Sunderland. Had a great laugh and, I have to say, it was quite refreshing to be in the support car rather than slogging it out on the bike.
And slog it out they did! Hartside and Crawleyside... I'm surprised that Sputnik (my very old VW polo) managed to get up there so I felt well sorry for guys. Suckers! LOL. Crawleyside, in particular, looked like a brick wall ha ha.
Want to give up my job now and do support driving for a living! Not sure I'll be too rich though!
Didn't do much cycling myself last week but made up for by 110 miles since Saturday.
